Each year, PBWA select six beneficiaries to receive donations raised by our monthly 50/50 raffles. Below are organizations we have supported in the past.

BERKELEY COUNTY
CCAP/Loaves & Fishes

Berkeley County Congregational Cooperative Action Project, Inc., or CCAP, was founded in 1982 by representatives of 16 Berkeley County churches for the purpose of providing emergency food and financial assistance to low income and underserved residents of Berkeley County.

Spay Today

Spay Today is a program of The National Humane Education Society (NHES) and serves as a tangible example of NHES’ commitment to humanely reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs.  Spaying and neutering is, and must continue to be, a major part of the humane solution to ending to the commonplace practice of euthanizing (killing) healthy cats and dogs in our country as a means of population control.

Toys For Tots

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Marine Toys for Tots. An IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, it serves as the authorized fundraising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program.  The Foundation provides the leadership, funding, and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns.

Project Linus

Project Linus provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

They also provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.

Empowerment Center

The Center’s mission is to Eliminate Violence Against all People.

EPEC’s mission is to protect victims, prevent violence and empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.We accomplish this by providing victims and survivors the resources necessary to effectively cope with the personal, social, emotional and legal ramifications of victimization.

The Martinsburg Rock School

The Martinsburg Rock School is a performance based music lesson facility and rock and roll community center, offering one-on-one lessons from professional musicians. We offer a safe drug free, judgement free and family friendly environment, where people of all ages can flourish as musician, while building self-confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of community.
